about

"Combines the nasty, rough flavour of classic Boston hardcore, with the energy and metallic tinges of New York style punk, and a pinch of crust." - Pittsburgh Noisegate
"These guys have done their job in keeping the Merrimack valley on the map and I expect the follow up to this recording to be even harder. Good EP, good band and that's no lie." - InEffect

"Inks played drums with a primitive, military gallop seemingly influenced by D-beat and crust punk; recorded like they're R&B, while Johnny's guitars chug and and distort like Black Flag or The Varukers covering Hellhammer and recorded for an Early Sub Pop release." - Dismal Issues

Corrosive Cognitives' first release available in entirety on Bandcamp, or Cassette.

Corrosive Cognitives are a two piece d-beat, hardcore, grind band formed from the split up of Aurual Butcheryer$ and Epicene Apostle. Playing shows in skate parks around the Danvers area and with a drummer often found intoxicated blaring Black Metal in a cemetery, and a Vocalist/Guitarist often found skating around and telling the Staties to fuck off while browsing Instagram; it’s certain both members are musically and mentally void and can often just be found making poor life decisions.

Johnny Appleseed met Inks while Inks when was 21 and alone, homeless, and needing shelter; Johnny needed rent money and the two eventually bonded over a mutual love of Graffiti, music, skating; while the two never musically paired they both shared riffs and drum patterns while in other bands, the two never really collaborated over their now 3 year friendship. it was only once Inks was free from Funeral of God and distanced herself from the black metal scene, the two began corresponding musically again, While living in Chicago, Inks visited when Appleseed was wrapping up the recording for what was to be the second Aurual Butcheryer$ release. Inks did session drums, and the two decided to form a band combining their mutual love of hardcore punk, street activism, and skating. Johnny Appleseed had hours of riffs and lyrics recorded on his cellphone and the two started to piece together individual tracks. Appleseed would be the driving creative force behind the new creation and combining his anarchist and street punk style with Inks' love of crude caveman-like beating the abortion now known as Corrosive Cognitions was born. This album was recorded over a series of sessions from July 2018 - October 2018, most of the delays came from constant re-recording of the drums or guitar riffs to form a more cohesive collection. The yin-yang personality of the perfectionist slacker, and the technical but dirty combined like a Voltron of beer vomit, hair balls, and used condoms to create a force that really has no god damned effect on the Universe.

This Album is dedicated to:
- HRTINFO
- Behringer for making clones that are so cheap it’s not even worth trying to steal them from Sam Ash.
- Brandi Shumway, because we like her tattoos (can we get one?)
- Mystery Skate decks, because we still have one!
- Lucien Graeves, we make bootleg Baphomet shirts to wear when we play live we hope you’ll sue.
- Anti-Fascists of the world and the LGBTQIA community
- Moxie Soda, what we lack in integrity we more than makeup for in Moxie.
- People with push to talk always on during Fortnight
- Tuukka Rask, if you’re not on the Tuukka train there’s a sock for you.
- Puma Sneakers, the Sport Utility shoes.
- Made By Doctor Light/Jes Burgess, you’re awesome and we won’t abandon you. Unless the Illuminati overlords tell us to. Also can we use your 808?! Or your studio? We have one to record in, just not one to sleep in.
- Hannibal Lector, seriously you really helped us work out our issues.

John Appleseed would like to thank:
- The State of Massachusetts Correctional, for being complete fuck-ups.
- The Parks Department of Cambridge for building skatepark lights that serve only to get skaters arrested.
- The Harvard Medical Center for their worthless rehabilitation programs.
- Blaster Caps.
- Every Mumble Rapper in the World for copying his tattoos.
- Jay Turser for making the rattiest Jaguar clones
- Twine, because it’s the universal stitcher
- Blake Judd, we still love you. I always got my orders. Also put us on your Swans comp!

Alexa Grey/Inks would like to thank:
- Brian Roe for being such an inspiration, his YouTube channel of foot fetishism and D-Beat lessons is par-excellence.
- 8teenboy for the many years of contractual obligations to present as male
- Whoever the fucker was that fucked up her “Suck Dick, Save the World” sticker.
- Thomas O’Brien Vallor, fuck you idiot.
- Skinnee, who definitely didn’t cause Poison Idea to break up, but is great in bed.
- King Cobra for being my best friend
Lehey General Mental Services for sending her back to an abusive house because they never have room for Medicare!
- Gammon for making a kit so cheap, people just throw them away

No Gods, No Masters, Only noise is real. Worship Void, not The Faith!
